
"Squib" Part Task Trainer built for the Defence Helicopter Flying School, RAF Shawbury .
Two "SQUIB" ( SQUirrel In a Box") Part Task trainers are currently in service at DHFS Shawbury and are used on a daily basis. They are used for local area familiarisation, Teaching local RT proceedures and can be used to demonstrate vortex ring state etc. The Team, led by RC Simulations completed the project in May 2010.
Our Part Task Trainers are High fidelity, low cost, fully featured, reconfigurable, stand-alone or network-enabled part-task trainers. From simple desk-top solutions for use in Ground School classrooms to fixed or deployable ISO-Containers with motion-bed and floor to ceiling wrap-around projection up to 240 degrees. Fully interactive with voice recognition ATC an integrated Instructor Station with switchable faults and failures.
Solutions can be tailored to your individual needs. Highly accurate flight models with full system emulation. Highly detailed ground environments with ultra-realistic 3D modelling, photo-real terrain and high resolution mesh contouring. Pre-programmed interactive missions with full artificial intelligence for instructor-less sessions.
