We believe that the Flight Sound X represents a category leading product, and we continue to direct our ongoing product development to retain this position. We have carefully considered the needs of our customers in developing the Flight Sound X and we believe that the mix of features and benefits below demonstrates this:
"A Robust Aluminum enclosure"
Our product is built with the understanding that Aviators appreciate quality hardware. The Flight Sound X is housed in an extruded solid aluminum enclosure (as opposed to plastic) and exhibits a finish that communicates the authenticity that a pilot would expect to encounter in a real cockpit environment.
"Quality and Functional Design"
The Flight Sound X is built to be a "no-nonsense" product. It has no internal wiring that might work loose over time. Additionally, the connectors are fitted on the side of the product (as opposed to the top), which puts far less strain on the headset plugs, and helps prevent accidently knocking/bending the headset connectors during use. Many customers have commented on this superior design feature.
"Support for Stereo Aviation Headsets"
Many aviation headsets (such as Lightspeed’s Zulu TM) support both Stereo and Mono sound. Naturally, our customers wish to take full advantage of their headset’s full capabilities while connected to a PC – by utilizing stereophonic (as opposed to only monophonic) sound. Many customers choose our product for this reason alone.
"Support for both Dynamic and Electret Microphones"
Due to our product's large input volume range - there is no problem interfacing with both dynamic and electret aviation microphones.
"Detailed User Manual"
Our device is designed to be "plug and play". Nevertheless, should our customers have any issues, they can simply refer to the full printed user manual (supplied) - which specifies the correct configuration settings.
"Helicopter / military version available"
In addition to our General Aviation model (twin connector), we have also recently added a Helicopter/Military version. This version interfaces seamlessly with headsets using U-174/U connectors, and is an example of our dedication to continually improving the range.
"Future developments"
We are committed to developing additional features for our products - such as adding "Push to Talk" functionality.
